I realise that there aren't too many out there who may be asking me this question, but I ask it of myself. I'm pleased with where I've been, but will try harder to pop in more often...it's been over a year believe it or not.
Actually, it's hard to believe it's only been a year - so very much has happened. We've moved, added to our family, and seen so many of our sweet and dear relatives. I've got lots to share with you as well and will try to do so soon.
I hope you all had a wonderful year last year and are looking forward to a fantastic year to come.
Loves!

My Etsy
Hi everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know, I have my etsy shop up and going again. Eventually, I'll figure out how to sell from a blog so it's free for me, but for now, etsy is a great avenue to sell from. Just a peak at what I have up...

For now, I'm sticking to digital things, but I hope to post some tatting if I ever stop for a minute to take the time and complete anything.
I hope you all swing by and check it out. I love having feedback - honest is the best :) - even if it's not all that pleasent. In fact, if you think it totally stinks, I should probably know that :)
Loves to all!

Crochet Beanie Hats
So, I keep seeing these on Etsy, but they are cuter and for little babies :). But I finally found a site that had free patterns so I tried one out yesterday and finished today. My son liked it so much that he wanted me to make one so he could wear it to school :) They actually fit me, though I think I would make it a little longer by a row maybe two if I were to make one for myself :). There are lots of really cute hats out there, I'll keep searching 'till I find one I really like. In the mean time, these are super simple and cute for the kids. I'm working on my third. Fun, Fun, Fun :)

Diet Update...
I'm not sure if anyone really cares about this, but I post to keep a record for myself. So, my Healthy Eating has been going pretty good. I haven't done exceptionally, but I've improved drastically. Only a couple of times have I made a sweet desert, and in those I used honey once and stevia the other. If I'm craving something sweet I just whip up a smoothie. Now that the weather has turned cold, that is becoming less and less appealing. I want to snuggle up with my hunny and a blanket and a nice, big cup of hot cholcolate...sigh. I'm working on finding possible solutions for this.
Another update on my diet. We have cut meat. We are focussing instead on whole grains of course, one that we've kept up on since we've been married - we just prefer the flavor and texture so much more over white. We are also eating LOTS more fresh fruits and veggies. In our day when we have supermarket veggies year round, there is really no excuss for not eatting better. We haven't cut the dairy completely yet, we're still working out the kinks - plus the kids eat cereal each and every day - and I like milk on my hot cereals. We have cut butter and eggs though.
The final step we've taken is cutting as much processed foods as possible, hence more fresh. We do still use frozen foods and canned tomatoes for soups. We have cut packaged foods - esspecially full meals and such.
So, the results...how are things really going. It's pretty Hard! Some of the main reasons are 1. I am super busy and I got into the habbit of quick, ready made meals - which are terrible I know so that one wasn't too hard to kick if I really think it through. 2. It just takes some planning and getting used to. There are lots and lots of sites out there that post recipes for Vegans. I'll make a list sometime of my favorite websites and I'll include them there. I haven't noticed a significant difference in how I feel, other than I'm not weighed down as much. I may explain that a little later.
Good luck to you all in finding what works for you!

Seasons Change
It's starting to change around here. The leaves have long since begun to change color and they are starting to fall. The weather has turned colder and the days are getting shorter. If it could stay like this forever, I'd almost be content :). I was just reviewing my last years crafts and came across a necklace I made for myself - which I LOVE. It was my Christmas present to myself :), but it's a bit too fancy for me to wear all that often.

This weekend our Stake is having a Ball. I think I'll try and make something nice for that. I don't really have anything formal, but maybe a little lace will dress things up a bit. I'll post pictures when/if I finish :)

Fabric Bows
My sweet mother-in-law just sent me a big package of fabric and threads - and some pretty cool scissors :), and my awesome Sister in law does things with fabric bows, and flowers all the time - she's my inspiration :), so, to say the least, I've been busy. Here are just a few of the flower/bows I've created. I need to get to the store and by some clips so my girls can enjoy.
It's hard to tell just how big these are. The ones above are big - they are about 4 1/2 inches across and the ones below are smaller - 2-3 inches or so.

I have it on good authority (my daughter) that every girl in her class wants to invite her to their birthday party so that her mom (me) can make them all pretty bows - hee, hee, hee. I thought that was cute. If I could, I'm sure I would pass them out to every little girl I saw - I think the bows are SOOOO darling!
Anyway, hope you enjoy - SMILES!
